If Looks Could Kill...

A modern take on strong female characters of royalty from high fantasy literature intended to inspire confidence.  After all, if looks could kill, maybe a woman would finally be in charge.

Contrasting fluidity and structure echoes the duality of elegance and ruthlessness that a royal status entails. Design lines delineate structured heavy cotton twill suiting from billowing silk silhouettes. Slacks shift into billowing silk culottes. Opulent silk bishop sleeves plume from a structured vest with a sharp collar and lapels of soft silk. Elegant gold closures pay homage to the fantasy world and unify design elements.

The pantsuit iteration, a modern emblem of female empowerment, facilitates an exploration of patterning a shirt with a collar, sleeves, and placket and a pant with a waistband, fly front, and pockets.
